A masterclass in blending fact and fiction makes this a compelling real-life wartime read. Exciting and fast-paced, and ends on an unexpected high note.

Another “can’t put me down” book from Vic Robbie! I was with the heroine all the way through her journey. It was nail-bitingly tense at times, and the discomfort and horror she witnessed on the way seeped into my skin. But there were certainly plenty of joyous moments too. It’s an extraordinarily good read on a very painful time in our history, but handled adeptly by the author. I would definitely recommend.

Such a great book! I've read Vic Robbie's previous works, and this was nothing short of excellent, too! Really recommend it.
